Let’s face it, staying clean is necessary, so we should bring enjoyment to it. Indigo Bee Soap helps specialize in this process with their handcrafted artisan soaps. Their soaps are made with pure vegetable oil, olive oil, jojoba oil and shea butter, and using the cold-process method of soap making. Trista, the owner, started Indigo Bee as a mom on a mission. She has a daughter with an allergy to all nut products and eczema. Working with 100% vegetable oils for her soaps she began to experiment while her kids were asleep. The first batch was not a success, but she kept trying and discovered what is now Indigo Bee. Now Indigo Bee carries not only soap but lotion, body butter, lip stuff, body wash, and sugar scrub. I received the Indigo Bee Signature scent soap for review. It smells wonderful. The marbled coloring is beautiful and perfect for display in your bathroom. Scented with only essential oils and hybrid essential/fragrance oil blends, it will help keep you and your bathroom smelling nice and clean. Win it: One Networking Witches reader is going to win a great package from Indigo Bee including: A bar of Indigo Signature soap and a [...]

It seems everyone in our family has something that they have a bad rep for. My daughter goes through a pair of ear buds a week. Seriously she keeps a set of every color to match her outfits and when she totals one it’s immediately replaced. My older son, besides food goes through shoes. My gosh the boy is 15 and wears a 14 or a 15. He wears the soles out. Seriously, the boy wears holes into them and has to have a new pair monthly. My younger son is unreal with socks. I buy the child new socks every month and not just a pair or two I’m talking the big kahuna pack. The funniest thing about this is that stick boy has stick feet and the big toe pokes out of them. So me being the wise mom had him switch feet on them but he was having none of it. He needs a job to get more socks lol. Hubby it’s shoe laces and I have to laugh hard over this. He has to have new work boot laces weekly, and it makes him mad. Sometimes I can hear them snap but most times I [...]

Blue Ridge Jams has been making the finest gourmet food products in the Blue Ridge Mountains since 1961. Located south of Asheville, North Carolina with over 200 varieties of products available, there is something for everyone including: jam, jelly pickles, relish, chow chow, conserve, and preserves. They also make a wonderful assortment of Fruit Syrup, Salsa, Apple Butter and Peach Butter. All of which are favorites in our house. The Jalapeno Strawberry Jelly was a sure hit with my husband. When he went to Drafting School in Arizona. He became addicted to Jellys that contained Jalapeno Peppers in them. This fab with cream cheese and crackers. I love pancakes with a bit of jam or preserves on them instead of syrup. I was not disappointed with the Black n’ Blue Preserves. This triple berry mixture of Blackberries, Black Raspberries, and Blueberries were delicious. The Blue Ridge Preserves are made with real fruit and in small batches to give you a superior quality. The quick snack when the kids get off the bus is a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, or in this case Preserves sandwich. The Spiced Peach Preserves was a immediately loved. It was also a “whoa mom” whats [...]

When you read the ingredients on a food package the first item listed, a product contains the most of. This includes “Whole Grain“. The Dietary Guidelines recommend choosing products with a whole grain listed as the first ingredient. According to Dr. Travis Stork, who most of us recognize from the show “The Doctors”, identifying whole grain products can be challenging. The first cue is looking on the front of the box, but reading the ingredient list is important to know if whole grain is the first ingredient.
Real Steel: Synopsis Remember Rock ‘em Sock ‘em Robots? This movie is much like the game. This story starring Hugh Jackman brings back memories of the 80s even though it takes place in the future. Sometime in the not-too-distant future, boxing has been outlawed and replaced by fighting matches with robots. Big robots. Hulking, rock ‘em, sock ‘em mechanical robots. But if those machines are cutting edge, Real Steel sticks to an old-fashioned style of storytelling, with a tale of a down-and-out fight manager (Hugh Jackman) looking for a good ‘bot to get back in the game, and get back out of debt. Hearts are further tugged by the arrival of this guy’s 11-year-old son (Dakota Goyo), who hasn’t seen his dad in many years but now needs tending. There’s something endearing about the way nobody ever pauses to remark on the fact that they are in the presence of giant remote-controlled prizefighting robots; it’s taken for granted in this cockeyed universe. Loosely inspired by a Richard Matheson-penned episode of The Twilight Zone, Shawn Levy’s film is lavishly mounted and fairly ridiculous–although in this case, the human interactions are more preposterous and formulaic than the fun robot action. Jackman [...]

I’ve shared Brittanie’s Thyme with you before. Their organic products have helped many people including me with some Organic Sinus and Cold Relief. This time I wanted to share their products with my son. The Organic Skin Care for Young Adults. Being a teen is hard and with all of the hormone and feelings going through them the last thing they need is acne. I was able to share with my son the Facial Freedom Organic Blemish Toner, Facial Freedom Gentle Toner, Facial Freedom Almond Oatmeal Facial Scrub, Facial Freedom Organic Citrus Facial Cleanser, and Facial Freedom Protective Moisturizer. Something I have tried to share with my son is that if you scrub your face too hard you dry it out and irritate it. This is why I wanted to give him a routine that would help him restore some natural oils on his face. Facial Freedom Almond Oatmeal Facial Scrub gently scrubs away lifeless cells that are dulling your natural complexion. Finely ground natural oatmeal and raw almonds help exfoliate dry skin and sooth rough spots. Facial Freedom Organic Citrus Facial Cleanser is a natural hydrating liquid daily cleanser suited for all skin types. This will not dry or [...]
