When I’m looking for body products I scroll to the bottom or the side to see if it is organic, or vegan, and to see if the company supports a cause. When I visited Made From Earth, I found they fit those three categories. Our family is seriously working on becoming organic and healthier. Made From Earth includes a lot of useful information on their website about their products, but they also include information on the National Organic Program, Healthy and Chemical Free Skin Care Ingredients. The National Organic Program prohibits chemical preservatives in skin care products. Parabens are a group of chemicals widely used as an estrogenic effect. I got to sample their Vanilla Lip Balm. Chapped lips here in the northern country are a painful so we keep our lips covered on a regular basis. I love their Vanilla Lip balm because it is only lightly scented and flavored. It is smooth but has a protective layer shielding your lips from the cold and the heat inside. The other product I was able to review was Three Berry Daily Face Cream. This blend was created as an antioxidant powerhouse to fight the daily assault on your skin. Raspberry [...]

When you are big business or corporation you have many opportunities to give back. I love shopping at companies who are doing something “good” with a portion of their profits. dressbarn is one of those companies. They are supporting the American Cancer Society. They have a darling Breast Cancer Awareness puppy named Skye. Adopt Skye, their smoochable pooch for only $5, in their stores and $2.00 will go to support local and national breast cancer initiatives and help save lives. Sky is great for gift giving including the Toys For Tots program. This is most definitely a double give back! dressbarn has focused their attention on the American Cancer Society for fund raising and early detection. Through Relay for Life, dressbarn associates and customers work to raise money and take turns walking for 24 hours in honor of those who have fallen victim to cancer. Relay for Life is rather near and dear to my heart because each year my daughter participates. She takes her sleeping bag and camps out at our local track with other kids and teachers. I would also like to mention their track team who ran on to the track from a practice run. They ran [...]

Brittanie’s Thyme, is donating 5% of their online sales to Doctors Without Borders. For those of you unfamiliar with this worthy cause, let me explain a bit. Doctors Without Borders is an international medical humanitarian organization created by doctors and journalists in France in 1971. Today, Doctors With Out Borders provides aid in 60 countries to people whose survival is threatened by violence, neglect, or catastrophe. Doctors Without Borders is a very worthy cause and are in the news a lot supplying medical care to those in need. Doctors Without Borders goes where many aid organizations won’t go because it’s dangerous. If you want to donate to a worthy cause the link is below.
