Okay, I’m getting out my whiney-iest DUDDDDDE! Journey is not Journey without Steve Perry. Journey was on the Today Show, this morning. While their Arnold Pineda, sounds similar to the high tenor of Steve Perry, Arnold sadly isn’t the person who they wrote the songs with, and he is not Steve Perry. You can also hear Pineda’s accent while he sings. Only 3 of the original band members are in the group and it isn’t the same. What is the same is Neal Schon, had to be the front runner with his high pitched solo. Speaking from some experience a band isn’t a band if everyone isn’t playing and his solos are almost always the same. Any music teacher will tell you this. It’s like he only knows one sound and pattern. It also sounds as though Neal Schon, owns/owned the group. It would have been no problem, and less grief to everyone had he choosen another name from the band and tagged it with the sounds and songs of Journey. What I find absolutely hilarious is that on the lead ins they the are using Perry’s voice. On cables Music Choice channel they use Steve Perry’s picture, even on [...]

Can you believe Rubik’s Cube is 30? When I was young and I’m dating myself here the Rubik’s Cube came out and all tweens (psst! I wasn’t a tween yet) were challenged. Rubiks Cubes are the perfect traveling companion. It was perfect to put in your locker and to work on during your down time. Rubik’s Cube Math Program from YCDTRC on Vimeo. This great puzzle is fun and entertaining but has other benefits as well. When working to solve the Rubik’s Cube you get a sense of accomplishment. In addition, learning to solve the Rubik’s Cube helps teach life lessons such as, following directions, perseverance, memorization and focus. I myself self would like to add how to deal with aggravation. It’s addicting and something I would work and work at until I had it solved. Rubik’s Cube is a game of teaching too. Holding, twisting, and turning the parts, can help children of all ages grasp important math concepts including area, perimeter, volume, angles, algorithms and enumeration, among many other geometry and algebraic topics. My husband and I want to do all we can to help our children and if that means making them play games well? Rock On! [...]

Last fall I was helping my parents clean out their pole barn and we were laughing because we found my sisters Rainbow Brite and she had at some point used a Seal a Meal type of thing to preserve it. She loved that doll so much and I tortured her so bad! I remember playing hide and go seek with the doll and her looking everywhere for it. I was too old for Rainbow Brite (I know this dates me) but I thought it was cute and I loved all of the little cartoon and accessories. Now Rainbow Brite and her friends are back. They’ve had a make over but they are still the fun and colorful toys they were long ago. It’s nice to play with an update version with your own child. Their empowering and imaginative adventures spread her positive messages of courage, kindness, and hope. Want to join Rainbow Brite and her friends Moonglow, Tickled, Starlite, Shimmer and Sunriser? If so Networking Witches has the right item for you! Win it! 5 Networking Witches readers are going to win a cd of Rainbow Brite games and activities. Mandatory Entry Go to the new Rainbow Brite site and [...]
