Ah, you guys probably didn’t miss me much ….. but I sure did miss all of you! On the night of April 25th I was frantically editing and printing my sons Senior Pictures, trying to get those invitations (the few we could afford) in the mail box and on their way. A bit after midnight I told my husband I was beat and shut down the laptop. Thinking I would simply get up the next morning and finish it all up. Oh, how wrong I was. My laptop cord suffered a sort of demise that would make any blogger cringe with fear. Having spent any “petty cash” we had on hand, I was … (bluntly put) screwed. There was no way I could afford a new cord. There’s a company we worked with that owes us around $500, so to say I was livid that said company had (and has not) paid for services. I had no choice but to use my iPad as my sole source to stay connected. I have found that my iPad is not the wonderful blogging tool I once thought it was. Don’t get me wrong, I do love the iPad, however it’s not my [...]

GoodNites – A Kimberly-Clark brand is a brand known to help keep bedding dry through the overnight hours. The first thing that may come to mind is likely a pull-up type diaper, however the newest (and amazing, if I do say so myself) is the GoodNites Bed mats. So easy to use and so simple in three easy steps that you – or an independent child can use himm/herself for protection overnight. GoodNites bed mats help with constant washing of bed linens, clean up routines and so much more than just those couple of things. Offering a child independence and dry sheets the following morning is truly priceless regardless of his/her age. With easy to remove adhesive strips that simply peel away to reveal a mild adhesive so the mat sticks to the sheets and stays put while the child sleeps. Tossing and turning has been tested at our home and I absolutely love that through the toughest of tests and the biggest round of tossing and turning in a childs sleep – the bed mat stays put giving your child a lot of peace of mind for those dreaded wet nights. Each bed mat is generously sized, measuring a [...]

Somehow I don’t think this is a situation that many are faced with very often. But this certainly brings to light something that can and does happen to many people in many positions. The best of the best, even they are human. Normal day today, I didn’t have to babysit my great-nephew today so I had the house to myself. Lounging around in pj’s, I was up late last night sick to my stomach. No idea why, just a round of nausea. Truth is, I think I’m “lymie” again. Back to my story. I hear a vehicle and peek out the window, pony tail on my head, in my ratty ole’ pj’s and see my Fed-Ex guy in the back of his van looking for a package. For some reason, today struck me as out of the ordinary. As I have done many times, I greeted him with a smile and a “Hi! How’s it going?” His answer was way different than his usual smile outlined with a bit of small talk. He quickly said, “I’m not doing well.”, I of course asked if he was ok, what was wrong and right then and there is when it unfolded. He was [...]

Little Tikes – TikeStix Clubhouse Building Kit It all begins with a box that you inspect end to end, peeking to absorb the moment when it comes open. They were both caught peeking! So cute. I haven’t had this much fun taking review pictures in a long time! Then you open it and the fun begins! Then the big “kids” come along and (try to) take it away and try to do it “the right way” and build things. But it doesn’t matter if you still have the box, that’s the important part. You gotta’ tuck em’ in nice n’ cozy like so they’ll fit and all the flaps will close. (I love this feature setting on my Kodak Camera) Little Tikes makes for big play! All in all, if you want to build the fort that’s featured on the front of the box, you can do so …. just make sure the instructions are in area that can be located and a two year old didn’t hand them off to another grown-up. The blocks are great since they aren’t little for tiny hands to put in their mouths, I love that they are brightly colored and can be [...]

One of these shovels will be in my yard. I can’t quite decide where I want it at. It’s my goal – I must have one for a many reasons. The first and foremost is the worlds greatest inside joke between Winter and myself. <insert witchy cackle here> The artist behind these beauties is Cynthia, you can connect with her on Facebook, Evergirl Art. One man’s junk she turns into treasure, after following her on Facebook for awhile I have seen some very neat objects she’s created from junk … literally, junk! I have drooled a little when she has shared some of her works. She has several other works of art available for sale on her site, you have got to check it out. ♥ I hope you dig it as much as I do! Not only does she enjoy what she does and creates but she wants others to truly enjoy it also. An option for those of us that live paycheck to paycheck, a payment plan! Kudos! Read more about this on her Q&A Page. Seriously, leave the shovels alone. I have places for them to go. Really. I was not compensated for this post.

When we walked into Sam’s, one of the first things that I noticed was that the lady there viewing membership cards and greeting members was holding a donation jar – honestly I had forgotten exactly what my mission was at that point and took a huge interest in the donation jar that she was holding. Wow! I learned quite a bit in that moment. She kindly turned me and pointed out huge displays that were set up for the Souteast Missouri Food Bank, I was in awe. Absolutely awed at the mass of brands that have come together to help hunger relief efforts! Everyone deserves a quick and easy meal once in a while, even if you have to visit a food pantry, even if you’re a SNAP or Food Stamp recipient – hard times fall on everyone. It certainly doesn’t discriminate. I’m not ashamed to admit that this has happened to my family. We often donate grocery items, not always to a food pantry or in the donation box, but to families in our local area. My husband and I are firm believers in that being a christian isn’t just about attending church regularly or putting on the [...]

You can follow my posts with taking Sibu Gel Caps – Cellular Support Daily. You can read the first post here. Sibu The Start – #1 Take note here – I am not a Dr., I don’t claim to be a Dr. and if you choose to take any kind of supplement, including but not limited to Sibu, I suggest that YOU discuss this with your own Dr. before beginning. This post is my opinion, my feelings and my journey please discuss any of the above with a physician before you give it a try. I hope you’ll walk with me, read my posts which I think I’ll call my Sibu Diary. After taking the Sibu Gel Caps – Cellular Support for a bit more than two weeks now I asked my husband if he noticed any changes in me. At first he looked at me as if I were nuts. Okay, so maybe I am … a little. When he finally answered like he was supposed to (without his usual peanut gallery remarks) he did say that he thought I was definitely more active. I have been a lot more active than my usual self. Which is so nice. [...]
