Child, herein referenced as “boy” and “it”.
This has been one heck of a week! My niece had her baby, meaning my new great-nephew Brody has arrived. Pictures below of course! Unfortunately the new Momma’ has a spinal fluid leak, she’s had a major headache since the 12th. Their (almost) two year old is here at our house and let me tell you this:
OH.MY.GOSH. — I AM NOT USED TO TODDLERS!

“Binocular Boy” will be 2 on Feb. 17th. He’s a proud new big brother!
But let me tell you a few things about this boy…
- Binoculars can be made out of anything but empty toilet paper tubes are the best.
- Everything must go on it’s head. Empty plant buckets, cups, bowls, canes, dogs, etc,…
- Must walk like a sumo wrestler at least twice a day.
- Will feed you his dinner. A full spoon while shouting “OPEN” in the cutest friggin’ voice you can imagine.
- Will give Dad a half-wave bye so he can stay to rock my world.
- Fights sleep, then runs a muck to avoid his eyes closing.
- Gives ugly looks.
- Has learned an ugly habit of spitting. (Did I really go through this with my own kids lol? REALLY?)
- When “it” gets in trouble, he lays down on a pillow and pretends to snore.
- Will not eat even the food he demands you open for!
- Everything in the house now lives and resides happily in the living room floor.
- The coffee table can and will serve as a seat, stand, podium and trampoline attempts.
- Dog toys are still toys. ‘Nuff said.
Now, there’s a “mini-me” version!
<insert screams here>

In a couple of years, they will be the “Double Duo”, or something equally boyish and rotten to the apple core.
Brody was born at a very healthy weight of 9 pounds, 5 ounces, via c-section. Okay Mom’s out there, wipe the grimace off your faces now. He’s doing very well. Mommy is doing well with some family help and much needed rest.

My lil man Wyatt turned 2 end of Nov, trust me, I know how you feel! I do it everyday, but sometimes he just makes me laugh so hard, they grow up too quick!
Lucinda, you’re kids are cuties – I have seen lots of pictures.
After so much time has passed … just wow at the chasing around of a toddler. He’s so cute and I love him sooooo much. But he’s going HOME soon LOL!
LOL, enjoy that toddler! I bet he is keeping you on your toes!! Congrats to your niece on her new baby! Hope she is feeling better soon.
We do enjoy the little guy to be honest. The post is all in fun. I love that little buggar with all my heart. He’s actually a really good boy that I wouldn’t trade off for millions of dollars or a package of Oreos.
My niece seems to be doing better, she had to return to the ER again today to have another “blood patch” injection done in her back.
I feel so bad for her right now. Please keep her in your prayers.
Rose always say he’s a good boy while I’m on the phone with her and he’s doing something naughty. Then she tells me he’s rotten LMFAO. I have seen this little dude upclose and personal and he’s a living doll. I don’t think I could resist his charm either!
