It seems everyone in our family has something that they have a bad rep for.
My daughter goes through a pair of ear buds a week. Seriously she keeps a set of every color to match her outfits and when she totals one it’s immediately replaced.
My older son, besides food goes through shoes. My gosh the boy is 15 and wears a 14 or a 15. He wears the soles out. Seriously, the boy wears holes into them and has to have a new pair monthly.
My younger son is unreal with socks. I buy the child new socks every month and not just a pair or two I’m talking the big kahuna pack. The funniest thing about this is that stick boy has stick feet and the big toe pokes out of them. So me being the wise mom had him switch feet on them but he was having none of it. He needs a job to get more socks lol.
Hubby it’s shoe laces and I have to laugh hard over this. He has to have new work boot laces weekly, and it makes him mad. Sometimes I can hear them snap but most times I can hear him yell. The whole house but HIM finds it funny. So last week when we went to the store I snapped up 4 pairs at one time.
Me? It’s mouses. Is that even a word? Apparently I’m hard on the the mouses. My sweet little boy got me a new pink one for Christmas and it’s toast. First I dropped it but I shook it and it started working again. Then the boys were wrestling and down it went and someone jumped on it. This mouse was seriously taking the abuse. Thennnnnnn dun dun dun dun dunnnnnnnnnnnnn I spilled a glass of water in it. It’s done, toast. So boy #2 comes out and says I’m loaning you mine again but seriously mom don’t kill it.
You know, I go through a lot of … umm .. computer mouses? Is that the wording we’re looking for here? So far logistics mouses (?) have a longer lifespan than others.
You should have learned the correct plural from Pixie and Dixie and Mr. Jinks: “I hate those meeces to pieces!”

LOL this all sounds vaguely familiar! My 14 yr old goes through shoes
(size 12 ! WTH? lol) like they are water! He has a toe that wears through them in no time. He is also the king of destructing earbuds! He goes through at least one pair a week. I now buy them at Dollar Tree! =) And then there is socks… where do they go??? I buy him the mega pack and whithin 2 weeks he has like 3 pairs of socks! WTH I just bought 12 pair! Then theres hubby. . . Oh Lord! Its work shoes for him! How the man blows a pair of work shoes out monthly is a mystery to me. He also loses socks. I buy a mega pack & within 2 weeks 1/2 are gone! Honestly , where do these socks go?? I never find a huge pile of “hidden” socks anywhere so where they go I havent a clue! You have to laugh, right? Cause its illegal to strangle them! LOL . . I to am pretty bad with “losing” earbuds but its because my son loses or destroys his & steals mine!
Meeces, I got it. I get it, meeces. Meeces to pieces. Shouldn’t our demand lower the cost over all? lol
I’m kind of glad my kids aren’t the only ones that fly through earbuds/headphones like there’s no tomorrow. My kids can’t keep a pair so they can match them with their clothes, however I’m not going to aid in giving them any suggestions!
I think those socks are at a friends house, it’s a vicious circle. Our kids leave their socks at a friends house, their friends leave their socks with our kids and unfortunately they are the wrong size.
I gave up on ear buds for myself. I hit the dollar tree for both kids and in the warmer months I like the ones that clip to the back of the ear when I’m gardening or doing yard work. Where is spring at anyway?
