Both of my sons get sick in the winter, both have had the tonsils and adenoids removed and both have it worse in the winter. While its amazing what medicine can do I don’t like medicating them if I can work on preventive measures. One of those measures is a humidifier. When I take the kids in to the doctor he always asks if we’re using a humidifier and if not to get one.
Crane USA makes humidifiers that are darling, and your kids won’t mind a friend sitting in the room to help them. Generally speaking humidifiers are ugly and the boys have a hard time keeping it upright. Crane is making humidification fun with new Drop designs and neat Pet Humidifiers. My youngest son really doesn’t mind our new Pet Frog. His name is Henren by the way.
This sweet little guy helps to increase air moisture for easier breathing. He helps to relieve cough, cold, and flu symptoms and nose bleeds. We have a huge nose bleed problem here and I’ve found as long as I remember to fill the humidifier we are able to rid ourselves of the problem.
Henren’s aka frog’s, 1 gallon water tank runs whisper quiet for up to 24 hours. Mists up to 2.1 gallons of moisture a day. This amazed me, one little frog is humidifying 250 square feet. That is the boys whole room, and up to 11 hours of run time. I love that it has an auto shutoff safety sensor, and uses less energy than a household light bulb.
Crane’s easy to use instructions are a huge help. Generally I’m a no instructions kinda gal, but I really wanted to do this right and keep our new pet working and operating correctly.
1. Empty water from the Water Tank and Water Basin daily.
2. Disinfect your humidifier water tank and water basing with a few cap fulls of white vinegar and some fresh water. Let sit for 30 minutes than rinse a few times to remove the vinegar smell.
3. Always make sure that the humidifier tank and basin are thoroughly air dried before storing.
