My husband and I have been married 20 years in August. We have 3 children ages 16, 13, and 7 and are extremely family oriented. When you’ve been married as long as we have, you are consumed with every day life, and family. Every now and then couples need to sit down and take some time for each other. I used to feel guilty when taking time for myself or my marriage, but now I’m convinced that it is very important.
Kate and David Marshall, understand that need and have written a book to help couples, ” What I Love About You“. It reminds true loves why they got married to begin with. In their book, “What I Love About You” they list fun questions, serious questions, and just thoughts about your loved one. My husband and I sat and went through part of the book asking one another the questions, or fill in the blanks. It was a lot of fun and gave us free time as a couple. Some of the fun questions are spelling your loved ones name vertically or The 5 Talents About You I Like, and all I will answer about that is it’s a good thing they already had multiple answers to choose from.

I admire the fact that Kate and David write together. I’ve worked with my husband and I know it’s not always easy. Infact sometimes you want to throttle one another, but I also felt very lucky to be with my husband and working day in and day out.

The book of us
The Life of my Dog looks like a great book. I’ve shared the story of my rescue dog so many times, but it would be great to write it down. You never know when your memories will fade.
