No Touch Hand Soap System
This is one product I’m glad to see that it emptied out soon. Hand soap. A no touch hand soap system from Lysol. This amazing little monster takes only 4 AA batteries, and can sit on the counter. Now our family is not gentle. They tend to be pretty rough on things. This did increase hand washing in our home, I think it’s from the fact that it’s a no touch system.
We live in a rather rural area, and I’m disappointed that so far I’m having a hard time finding the refills. Since it’s advertised that it’s now available at Wal-Mart I’ll be sure to update you all on when I find the refills. I chalk this up to living in such a small, rural area and the product being reasonably new.
Since there are 5 of us, and often times up 7 or 8 in the house at any given time. I put this on our kitchen sink. My first thought was that shadows when someone walks past may activate it. That only happened once, and I’m pretty sure my 11 year old or my husband (wink) passed a dish under it for their own personal review and test.
We do plan to use this on a regular basis, and I will be purchasing one of these for our bathroom as well.
Personal pros to the Lysol no touch hand wash system – It has increased hand washing here, and decreased the amount of germs on other surfaces. That can be a vicious little circle.
I have not found this knocked over and pumping soap out like crazy, nor have I found any sign that it was activated without an actual human doing so. It has held up very nicely to our family of 5.
My personal con to this? The only thing that I can think of that I dislike is that the main container of hand soap is not refillable. I do prefer to refill than to repurchase for many reasons. Being in a rural area, I often purchase in bulk so that we don’t run out of things. So Lysol – bring me a refill and I’ll love it even more.

I really like their Anywhere Spray – it sort of takes the place of the expensive pre-moistened wipes (although we love those too, but I try to use them less often). This looks really neat!

I use the wipes a lot – if anybody who is using Anywhere Spray reads this, it is not a substitute for the wipes because it is not antiviral. It is still a great product for use inside your own home when your kids are healthy and you just want to do a little extra cleaning of their toys and eating areas, but if your goal is to prevent viral illness you are using the wrong product!
