Glee Gum Valentines Giveaway 2/10/10

I got something really different in the mail.  Had Glee Gum, not emailed me I would be clueless.  Taking a look at the site reminds mekit_chocolate_face_smaller of when I was younger and begged my mom for a penny for the gum machine.   Glee Gum, is an all natural chewing gum made with sustainably harvested rainforest chicle, and comes in six great flavors:  cinnamon, peppermint, tangerine, bubblegum, spearmint, and triple berry.

But Glee Gum isn’t all gum.  Another great candy is, Make Your Own Chocolate.   Now I don’t know about you but I need chocolate every so often.  This would be the perfect project to whip up some chocolate in emergency situations.  This great kit can be made on the stove or with a microwave.  Ages 8 and up  with adult supervision.

The chewing gum kit looks like a lot of fun to me.  You use chicle, the sap of the sapodilla tree that grows in the rainforests of Central America.  Everything needed is included in this kit.  You can make your own gum on the stove or with a mictrowave.  This is great for class room projects and is good for ages 8 and up with adult supervision.

Lastly and my fave is the Gummies Kit.  I am a huge Gummie anything fan.  Make your own gummies out of seaweed!  Everything you need is invluded in the kit and it’s a blast.  You can make your own gummi bears, gummi worms, gummi fish or any other shape you can think of.  These too can be made on the stove or microwave and great for class room activities.

My kids and I made the gummi bugs.  I had some little bug molds and this was fun.  We made ours in the microwave and I think it’s a bit easier than on the stove.  First you don’t have to worry about any of the little ones getting burned and you can watch the mixture while its in the microwave cooking.

I keep a lot of things on hand for snow days.  Snow days aren’t rare here and sometimes they multiply with the snow.  Gummi Kits, Glee Gum Kits, and Chocolate Kits are all something fun and in expensive for you to do with your kids.  With so many trying to get back to family this is the perfect start.

I really enjoy this company and their prouducts because it gives me memories from when I was younger.  And I’m making new memories with my family.  It’s hard to find something that captures the whole families attention these days so you have to grab the opportunity when you can.

Yikes! I took one look at the Wee Gum Medly and it looks like these small square pieces of multicolored gum that my brother and I used to fight over. I think the product was called mini Chicklets or something like that. The Chicklets are from the 1960′s or 1970′s. Anyway, I like the Gummy making kit the best. My 5 year old would get a kick out of making gummies.

    1. I have fun memories of the hard shelled gums (not sure that they were Glee gums, though), and I still love gummy worms.

    2. I think I’d like the make your own gummies kit. I love gummies and see them being the thing I would most likely make on my own.
