FatCow Hosting Sucks

Really. It’s totally true.

On one particular support calls I had to place, I mentioned having a blog and that we sort of know how to use it. Yes, I said it. Shameless, maybe. Ticked, yes. Chad, Nate, Jordan who ever I was on the phone with at the time, calmly and quickly says “I wouldn’t advise that, others have tried it.”

I literally busted out laughing. In his ear. Loud. While in hysterical laughter I asked Chad, dude, Nate WHOEVER, how many times exactly this very same situation occurred. Since he did tell me that others have tried it – meaning blogged it is what I assume. That is what I was talking about.

We all know what was going to happen. And Joie and I have been just waiting, like little brown recluse spiders to find others (we know they’re there FatCow told me so) that have been rooked by FatCow. And guess what. Out of the wood work they’re coming. Rooked by FatCow. ROOKED I TELL YOU!

We try super hard to keep our site rated pg, or under. And when dealing with downtime every other day its hard to maintain that pg thing as a whole.

So I here I sit, reviewing FatCow. It’s only fair that Winter and I both get to work on this review. We both suffered HOURS (not an exaggeration!) on the phone with them. We were told nearly everything in the book of things we had “exceeded” even though we had their package offering unlimited bandwidth. We dealt with a disgusting amount of down time from Nov. through part of Jan. Every other day our site was down, glitched, or just plain screwed.

We are review and giveaway bloggers. This is what we do.

Go ahead, google it. I dare you.

FatCow Web Hosting SUCKS

Here’s my review.

And here’s my giveaway FOUR THUMBS DOWN, well six now that I found this blog post. From I Like It Frantic Please, I encourage you to take a look, it’s not just the Witches that had huge issues with FatCow. We will find others. We know you’re out there also, lurking in the blogosphere, waiting like we did.

This is my review and opinion of so called services we didn’t receive. You can take it how you like. Please feel free to read our disclosure. We do not recommend, support, or endorse in any way using FatCow hosting services for your blog or website. We have not been paid, and are actually owed around $200 from FatCow for refunds, moving fees, exceeded queries while on an unlimited package, a daily database backup, and so much more. That isn’t to take into account our down time, hurting our name with downtime, and causing us to be behind for our sponsors, and those that enjoy reading our site.

We are in no way affiliated with or for FatCow. No monetary compensation was offered or accepted for this review.

Let us count the ways that FatCow has ripped us off. We’re up to 6 ticked off thumbs. How many more are out there? Let us know, did FatCow rip you off, cause you downtime, or ’cause a migraine? How about tears of frustration?

It is very frustrating. I’m glad we’re settled with our new host, and since moving to Host Gator we have had 100% uptime. No exceeded queries or anything odd.

I am so glad you are spreading the word about your horrible experience with them. I will steer clear of them for sure!

We now know what good service is and what is normal and what is not. Funny thing is Fat Cow is powered by windmills, so I guess when the windmills stop turning so does their service.

Service like this gives green energy projects a bad name. Shame on them

Geez… I was just reading an article from another blogger experiencing a similar problem. (They WOULDN’T refund her money and she deserved it… I cannot for the life of me remember who at this moment; I’d like to link you up!)

That sucks. I’m glad you’re with someone reliable now. I’ve heard great things about Hostgator (and that’s from digital scrapbookers like myself who use a lot of bandwidth. With our zip files we consume a lot of resources.) I’m with UCWebhost, have been for almost 2 years and love them too. Good luck!
