The benefits of raw cacao!
What’s Valentine’s without a little bit of chocolate? I mean it’s great to have gifts that last, like many of our other reviews for our BeWitched Valentines, but chocolate is good too! I got to sample some organic & raw dark cacao truffles from UliMana, they are delicious! They come in a 5.5 oz jar. UliMana only uses pure, raw ingredients and hand mix every batch, they also practice fair trade purchasing, and conscious manufacturing. Available in eight different flavors, each one has its own unique story. Dark Cacao, coconut, peppermint, goji cherry, mayan, cacao nib, hemp and goji nut.
They not only carry truffles, but truffle butter. Truffle Butter has the same ingredients as the truffles, the spread is delicious eaten with a spoon straight out of the jar. Great on fruit, just warm it up for hot fudge, or add to your coffee or hot milk. And it’s nutrient rich. Sounds like a win, win situation to me!
Don’t miss their brownies as well. Raw Chocolate Hemp Brownies » hemp nut, mulberry & cacao nib
- Dark Chocolate and Cacao on Endothelial Function
- This study in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition shows that heart health is increased by consumption of cacao. Blood pressure is reduced, and endothelial function improved in overweight adults.
UliManaMana, or UliMana for short was incorporated on July 13, 2005 – a great day astrologically – and may very well be the first raw chocolate company ever. Their first product Nirvana Manna, now called Maca Manna was inspirted by a book by David Wolfe, Naked Chocolate. Everything is made with organic chocolate (cacao) ad other vegan, organic ingredients.
Ulimanamana – What does it mean?
UliManaMana is a made up name whose origins come from the 35,000 year old Huna tradition, a Polynesian/Hawaiian science practiced by the aboriginals of that region. In Hawai’i, this teaching was originally called Ho’omana (to make Mana or life force energy) and means Empowerment. The people who practiced these teachings and techniques knew that all power and all life force emanated from the One, I’o, the source of all life– the source of all energy.

Thank you so much for the wonderful review! We love it! Our treats ARE an amazing gift for Valentine’s Day.
